Le Gramat Elementary School, case study model

// This quarter…//

…is kicking my ass. I’m taking up too many things: training to be the print shop supervisor, being a graphic design intern, AIAS, design competitions, etc. My lack of motivation and my hunger for summer isn’t helping me with my school work either.

The good news is I’m not going to fail structures this quarter.

// Friends//

I never thought I’d ever become friends with certain people in my major. Some of those people are the closest to me now.

A t-shirt I made for my friends 21st, inspired from a similar top I saw on tumblr. I personalised this one to some/most of the memorable things he has done at uni. Great way to create a fun thoughtful gift for your fellow architecture students :)

The only thing I haven’t done on the checklist is pull my hair out during a crit. This usually happens late at night when I’m trying to produce something.

// Candy and unicorn masks//

During my search for internships, I stumbled across an eye-catching ad on Craigslist that promised candy and a unicorn mask in exchange for services from a “fucking bad ass graphic design intern”.

The Studio by Nicholas Gurney

The redesign of a 27 studio apartment in Sydney is an exercise in modest, low cost, good quality design that can be afforded for one person living.

// Winter 2013//

This past quarter has been eventful, to say the least. Despite being busy with architecture projects, as usual, I have made a great effort to live a little outside my studio world.

Here are some notable memories from winter:

  • Dancing at The Press with strangers
  • Being remembered by Behn
  • Adam
  • Not finishing a design for the first time
  • Channeling Rem Koolhaas into a design
  • Biking down University Ave.
  • Feeding Brian’s bunnies in the middle of a party
  • Bar tending at the Neutra-VDL House
  • Turning 21
  • Teresa
